WEEK 1: Fasting //
WEEK 2: Scripture //
WEEK 3: The Rosary //
WEEK 4: Adoration //
The fourth and final chamber of the Sacred Heart we are nourishing is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is spending time with Jesus present to us in the Blessed Sacrament. Now that we have built up the habits of fasting, reading scripture, and praying the rosary, our hearts can be more present to Jesus in Adoration.
Through fasting, we deny ourselves good things and make ourselves better prepared to receive Jesus’s perfect goodness. In reading Sacred Scripture, we become familiar with God’s voice amidst the noise and distractions of the world. And, in praying the rosary, we can relate our lives and experiences to Jesus. Finally, in spending time in Adoration, we give of our time and our presence to God Himself and allow Him to shape our hearts and desires to be in union with His perfect will.
Jesus wants to spend time with us in adoration and He will meet us where we are in our unique spiritual journeys. Sacred Heart’s Adoration Chapel is open daily from 7am—9pm. Please call the Parish Office at (225) 387-6671 for the chapel code
